Science and engineering in the Arab heritage

La Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation – Centre for the Study of Islamic Manuscripts, e la Foundation for Science, Technology and Civilisation (FSTC), organized a two-day symposium entitled “Science and Engineering in the Islamic Heritage” (London, House of Lord, Westminister 03-17 – Al-Furqan foundation 03-18). Andrea Bernardoni represented Artes mechanicae with a report entitled “Traces and Connection with Muslim Scientific Heritage in Leonardo Da Vinci Manuscripts”. In his career Leonardo studied and developed topics related to engineering, to arts and science, in each of which there are more or less evident traces of his interest in Arab authors. The intervention highlights and analyzes Leonardo's involvement with the authors of the Arab tradition.
