The Artuklu University of Mardin in Turkey has organized an international symposium on Al-Jazari, Arab engineer and scientist of the 12th-13th century. Jobs, divided into two days, have contributed to historically analyze and contextualize the machines designed in the Compendium on Theory and Practice of Mechanical Arts (Al-Jami ‘Bayna’ l-‘ilm wa-‘l-‘amal al-Nafi ‘fi sinat’at al-hiyal). Mechanical skills presented a paper entitled Leonardo and mechanics in the Renaissance, in which Andrea Bernardoni analyzed some aspects of Leonardo's engineering and the projects created by Leonardo for Sultan Bayazid II.
