The Artuklu University of Mardin in Turkey has organized an international symposium on Al-Jazari, Arab engineer and scientist of the 12th-13th century. Jobs, divided into two days, have contributed to historically analyze and contextualize the machines designed in the Compendium on Theory and Practice of Mechanical Arts (Al-Jami ‘Bayna’ l-‘ilm wa-‘l-‘amal al-Nafi ‘fi sinat’at al-hiyal). Artes Mechanicae ha presentato una relazione dal titolo Leonardo e la meccanica nel Rinascimento, nella quale Andrea Bernardoni ha analizzato alcuni aspetti dell’ingegneria leonardiana e i progetti ideati da Leonardo per il Sultano Bayazid II.
